Presenting 3 bright startups- CitySparks from TechSparks Chennai 2013

Saturday July 27, 2013 , 2 min Read

TechSparks 2013 embraced the Chennai startup eco-system at the IC&SR Auditorium, IIT Madras. The multi city event is in its 4th edition now and the Chennai edition saw more than 250 people in attendance. We had illustrious and inspiring speakers like Murugavel Janakiraman of BharatMatrimony and Arunachalam Muruganantham of Jayashree Industries . Along with some great lessons from the speeches and an insightful panel discussion, 3 of the City Sparks also pitched. Here are the 3 companies that demoed:

btecgguru

Btechguru is an online educational portal based in Chennai established in February 2008. A part of Bodhbridge Educational Services that was incubated in IIT Madras, it provides online educational resources related to engineering careers, higher education, competitive exams, internships and jobs in India for students of engineering, soft skills and entrepreneurship. It aims to serve students in higher educational institutions by providing affordable and high quality knowledge based services.

deltax

DeltaX offers cloud-based digital media solutions for advertisers and agencies to efficiently buy, track, optimize and report media across search, social media, mobile, video and other media channels. They are also at the forefront of Big Data and are working on algorithms to complement their platform which integrates close to 10 providers (Google Adwords, Bing Ads, Facebook, etc.) via their APIs.

zeocode

Zeocode is a Chennai based startup which has developed a location and address sharing platform. Zeocode consists of a 9 digit number that encodes your location & postal address in it. You can share your location by just sharing the 9 digit code. The code can come in handy in situations when you need to share your address, which at times can be long and confusing.Note: These are 3 companies pitching at the TechSparks Chennai edition and it doesn’t mean that the others who have applied from Chennai won’t be considered for the Top 30 which will be presented at the TechSparks Grand Finale in Bangalore in October 2013.
