Wednesday October 02, 2013 , 3 min Read

Come October 28, entrepreneurs can expect a three-day gala event in this year’s NASSCOM Product Conclave. YourStory is happy to partner yet again this year along with NASSCOM in promoting the upcoming product startup eco-system in India through NPC. Ravi Gururaj, chairperson of Nasscom Product Council, shares, “The goal is to help software product industry practitioners and entrepreneurs acquire significant knowledge, connect with other likeminded focussed peers to share experiences and leave inspired to build innovative new software ventures out of India.” The conclave will see the participation of most successful product entrepreneurs from India – Phanindra Sama of RedBus, Murugavel Janakiraman of BharatMatrimony, Sanjeev Bikchandani of Naukri.com, V.S.S. Mani of JustDial, and Kunal Bahl of Snapdeal. Each of them is expected to impart their sectoral learnings and lessons on scaling up to the audience.

NPC

Venture capitalists, industry captains, chief executives, angel investors, and ecosystem players are part of the agenda to give insights into the product technology space in India and possibly include some examples from other ecosystems. With the theme of “Inspire, Engage, Amaze, Entertain,” the conclave will have six tracks – plenary sessions (common) and five other parallel tracks on sales and marketing, mobile, global, early stage, and funding. The plenary sessions are expected to focus on current opportunities eGov, health care, automobile, enterprise software, SaaS, mobile app ecosystem, and new media.

There are also workshops a day before the conclave (on October 28) and a preregistration is necessary for them. The themes for the workshop include founders’ agreement, user interface, web analytics for customer acquisition, growth hacking, app store optimization. In the two-day conclave on October 29 and 30, one session that might be of interest to know about other ecosystems is “Startup stories from Israel that are relevant to India” moderated by Orna Berry, Israel EMC Centre for Excellence. You might want to hear if regulations are a problem to startup in India, with India being perceived as a not so startup-friendly country yet in terms of regulatory environment.

Come and hear Phanindra Sama narrate his journey from startup to $100 million exit and V.S.S. Mani take you through his success story of startup to IPO. Mahesh Murthy will revel the audience on how to travel with a shoestring budget and still enjoy. A similar session he hosted during the Goa Project was a great hit. Rajesh Kumar, an ex-InMobi executive, will introduce Bitcoins, a digital currency much in the hot news. To excite entrepreneurs, there will also be a reverse pitch in which the investors will pitch to entrepreneurs.
