TechinAsia to conduct the second edition of Startup Asia Singapore in May

TechinAsia (TIA) is an English-language technology and startup blog focused on Asia. Startup Asia is one of its signature conferences, which was first held in November, 2013, in Jakarta. TIA is gearing up to bring another round of Startup Asia in Singapore on May 7-8, 2014, in the heart of Biopolis, Singapore’s tech research center. On the pitching contest, Startup Arena, both seed and growth-stage startups will be accepted and compete together on day one. About 10 to 15 startups will eventually take to the stage to compete for USD 10,000 in cash. Last date for submission for Startup Arena is on March 31, 2014.

TechinAsia is simultaneously running a 24-hour hackathon which will see developers building products with APIs and SDKs from numerous partner companies.

Some big names, including Dave Morin (Founder and CEO of Path), Min-Liang Tan (Founder and CEO of Razer) and Razmig Hovaghimian (Co-founder and CEO of ViKi) will be speaking at the event.
