Every Tuesday we profile techies from around the country and sometimes from outside the country too. Over time it has helped us find exceptional candidates in different fields like mobile, design, security, web technologies etc. As time passed we have observed certain trends in our pool of techies and decided to share them with you.

Here are some of the key takeaways from our analysis:

• Most of the techies prefer to work for startups in comparison to corporate.
• Most people eventually decide to start on their own as compared to working for others, this also leads to an interesting observation that most of the exceptional people crave the freedom instead of taking directions from others.
• The number of women techies has been on the increase over time.
• Android is the most preferred platform with around 20% of the techies working on it followed by Python.
