Snapdeal's new campus in Gurgaon home to 5,000 employees
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated a campus of online shopping platform Snapdeal.
"Snapdeal is one of the largest digital commerce marketplaces in the country. Gurgaon, becoming the nodal centre for their business operations, will encourage wider employment opportunities and development for the state. I am quite certain that with Snapdeal now here, Gurgaon will also become an important hub of India's e-commerce sector," Khattar said at the inauguration.
Commenting on the company's plans for the region, Kunal Bahl, Co-Founder and CEO, Snapdeal said, "E-commerce is a new-age industry and it requires young professionals to drive it."
"Snapdeal, as one of the vanguards of digital commerce wants to create an environment of enterprise and long-term sustainability for the sector. Our Gurgaon campus is home to 5,000 of the biggest and sharpest minds in the country," he added.
