TechSparks 2016: announcing the seventh edition of TechSparks on Sept 30-Oct 1

TechSparks 2016: announcing the seventh edition of TechSparks on Sept 30-Oct 1

Friday May 20, 2016 , 3 min Read

Build, Grow and Monetize! That's the only way real businesses are made. Indian startups are building innovative companies, growing their consumer and customer base, but are they really monetizing these assets? What do millions of customers mean if they don't transact with you?

Going back to the startup fundamentals of sustaining scale with real numbers and real revenues (and not just valuations), TechSparks 2016 is putting the focus on building real businesses, growing real consumers and having real revenues (not GMVs).

YourStory-TechSparks-2016

With the whole euphoria of entering the unicorn club and getting customers by burning cash, have startups forgotten about monetisation?

With TechSparks 2016, we intend to change the theme of the discussion, currently focused on valuations, to what actually matters more, viz. learning more about your customer.

This year, we at YourStory are celebrating seven successful years of our annual flagship event, TechSparks. Scheduled for September 30 and October 1 in Bengaluru, the seventh edition of the most awaited technology and innovation event, TechSparks will focus on disruptive technologies, sustainable scale, and startup fundamentals.

Since its inception in 2010, TechSparks has covered more than 16 cities, hosted more than 540 speakers and recorded more than 15,000 attendees. With its ever increasing commitment to showcasing innovative startups from across India, TechSparks showcases the coveted Tech30 list, which includes 30 of the most promising startups that we believe will go a long way: a belief that has stood the test of time in these past six years.

If you wish to attend the event, head over here and sign up to be the first one to be notified when the Super Early Bird tickets go live.

And if you are interested in sponsoring or exhibiting at the event, head over here.

Tech30 - It's the list that every tech startup wants to be on

It is no secret that over the years, many of the startups on our annual Tech30 lists have gone on to achieve great heights and leave their mark on the Indian startup ecosystem. Little Eye Labs, Forus, Capillary, Freshdesk, and Loginext are but a few of the Tech30 startups that have become examples to emulate.

Just earlier today, Niki.ai one of our TechSparks Tech30 companies got funded by Mr Ratan Tata.

Of the 180 startups showcased in the past years, 97 have raised growth capital after they featured on the Tech30 list. In fact, more than $630 million of growth capital has been injected in these startups after they were part of TechSparks' Tech30 list. We'll be opening the applications for Tech30 soon.

Stay tuned to find out what we have in store for you this year as we reveal our speakers, special sessions, and agenda in the coming days. And reminding you again,

1. If you wish to attend the event, head over here and sign up to be the first one to be notified when the Super Early Bird tickets go live.
