Good morning! A lot of us often respond to this by asking what’s so good about it anyway — you could be sleepy, jet lagged, overworked, exhausted, bored, or just not in the mood, but did you know that negative expressions can actually ruin your day? Morning is the most important time of the day. If you start your day in a bad mood, you can pretty much guarantee that the rest of it is only going to spiral downwards.

Stop playing a continuous monologue of negativity in your head and give yourself these eight affirmations each morning to begin your day on a fantastic note:

A new day, a new venture

"It's a new dawn, It's a new day

It's a new life, For me

And I'm feeling good"

It’s a new day. Whatever happened yesterday, however bad that day was, is gone and will not come back. I must focus on the present. I must embrace what I have and work towards making my life better and living it to the fullest. The bad won’t last — the good won’t, either — so I must do my best today. A new day brings with it new opportunities, new ventures, and new people. Another day, another chance to grow as an individual, entrepreneur, or leader!

I can be whoever I want to be

I know who I am and who I want to be. I know where I am heading. I know what my targets are. This is my life and I’m in the driver’s seat. I am flawed, but then no one is ever perfect. I am the best version of me. I am one of a kind. My dreams can be my reality. I can achieve all my goals.

It’s okay to fail

Failures are a part of life. It happens with everyone. What is important is not the failure but how you react to it .The key is to learn from mistakes and come back stronger. My failure is not my identity. It is a signal that directs me to the right path. I know what works and what doesn’t. I am ready to face new challenges every day!

There is no race for tomorrow

Tomorrow never comes, so why worry about it? The present is all we have. This is my life, today! I will live it to the fullest. I will make the most of the day. I live for today, work for today, because tomorrow won’t hurry up for me. There is no point wasting my time and energy thinking about tomorrow.

My choices are mine

We are the creators of our lives. My thoughts, my choices, and my aspirations are all mine. I know what’s best for me. I know what strengthens me. I will decide the ultimate path of my life and I will walk on it, no matter what. I decide the journey I take.

I’m still learning

No one can know everything. A good listener is a good learner. I don’t have to know everything. I am never going to stop learning. I’ll ask. There is so much to explore in this world. Every day brings new challenges and new technologies to deal with. I should be open to learning from another’s experiences. I should learn from superiors and juniors alike. Everyone is a storehouse of knowledge and experiences that can take me places.

I will be a better person

Stress is something that we deal with on a daily basis. It’s a part of our work life. Be the better person today and overlook the small things. Focus on the things that matter and don’t sweat the small stuff. People, at times, say a lot of things in the heat of the moment. But I have learnt to let go of negative expressions and to talk about my issues with dignity.

Starting over is an option

Don’t like the current job? Stuck in an abusive relationship? Want to start over? There’re no defined rules when it comes to starting over. A dissatisfied life is a life wasted. Changing something is a decision that should not await the right time — all I need is the courage to take that one step forward.

So go ahead, give your mornings a chance to be a happy change in your life. Dream or reality, optimism goes a long way.
