Source: News18Aditya, who hails from Mumbai, is a student of Integrated MTech at the International Institute of Information and Technology, Bengaluru (IIITB). Speaking to News 18, he said,
I was really happy when I got the offer from Google. I hope to learn new things during my tenure.
Throughout this project, which is for one year, he will work with Artifical Intelligence Google Residency Programme, and will have the option of converting it into a full-time placement, says Business Today.
Aditya holds an interest in computer language coding and was one of the finalists of ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in 2017 and 2018. He joined IIIT-B in 2013 for a five-year integrated MTech dual-degree programme and passed out in 2018. In conversation with The News Minute, he spoke about why he likes AI as a subject:
After AI came, I felt like the field is progressing rapidly, and I got the confidence that with a little bit of effort in research, we can do a lot more in the future. I never worried about it (getting a job) too much. I knew I would always have one year at the end of the course to prepare to refocus on employment tests. So the focus was mostly on learning as many things as possible and meeting interesting people and ideas. The goal was to develop new interests and master a few.
Aditya further adds that he wants to use this opportunity to meet as many people as he can who are working in the same space.
