Unicorn, dinosaur, or butterfly: 4 years from now, what will these MWC2019 startups be?
4YFN is an initiative projecting where the mobile startup ecosystem will be four years from now – and which entrepreneurs are already in the game today. Here they are at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona.
PhotoSparks is a weekly feature from YourStory, with photographs that celebrate the spirit of creativity and innovation. In the earlier 305 posts, we featured an art festival, cartoon gallery. world music festival, telecom expo, millets fair, climate change expo, wildlife conference, startup festival, Diwali rangoli, and jazz festival.
Four Years From Now (4YFN) is an event within an event: a showcase of emerging technologies that will be making a difference in the next four years. Hosted at Fira Barcelona during the annual Mobile World Congress, the event draws startups, investors, corporate accelerators, and government agencies for networking, knowledge-sharing, pitches, jobs and matchmaking.
This year, over 750 exhibitors pitched to 22,000 visitors. There were seven stages for workshops, panel discussions and hackathons, covering emerging technologies, business models, social innovation, and investor outlook. The event has come a long way from its launch in 2014, when it attracted around 2,000 attendees.
