Locale.ai raises Rs 9.6 Cr in seed round from Chiratae Ventures, Better Capital (Funding)
Bengaluru-based location analytics startup
, on Wednesday announced that it has raised $ 1.3 million(Rs 9.6 crores) in a seed round from Chiratae Ventures and Better Capital.The round also saw participation from angels such as Manik Gupta (ex-CPO, Uber), Sidu Ponnapa (SVP, Engineering, Go-Jek), Kuldeep Dhankar (ex- SVP, Enterprise Sales, Clevertap), Khadim Batti (CEO, Whatfix), Krish Subramanian (CEO, Chargebee), Vivekananda HR (CEO, Bounce), Kaushik Subramanian (Product, Stripe), Praveen Jadav (ex-CEO, Paytm Money).
Users under 18 yrs will soon be able to seek removal of pictures from image search result: Google
Tech giant Google on Wednesday said it will introduce a new policy in the coming weeks that will enable those under 18 years or their parents to request for removal of their images from Google Image search results. Among a number of new measures, Google will also ensure that Location History remains off (without the option to turn it on) for accounts of users aged below 18 years.
Cryptocurrency platform WazirX sees 2,648 pc growth in user sign-ups from Tier-II, III cities

on Wednesday said it has recorded 2,648 per cent growth in user sign-ups from Tier-II and -III cities of India. Based on a report generated by payments gateway firm Razorpay, WazirX said Tier-II and -III cities have driven almost 55 percent of the total user sign-ups on its platform in 2021, thereby overtaking Tier-I cities that demonstrated a sign-up growth of 2,375 percent.Agriculture sector sees 103pc growth in new business registration in FY21
The agriculture sector recorded the highest 103 percent growth in new business registrations at 12,368 in FY2021, compared to 6,107 in the previous fiscal, according to a paper released by Dun & Bradstreet.
The white paper on 'Business Dynamism in India' showed that the manufacturing sector witnessed 39,539 registrations in FY21 compared to 26,406 in FY20, a growth of 50 percent.
Heads Up For Tails raises $37M in Series A led by Verlinvest and Sequoia Capital India (Funding)
Heads Up For Tails (HUFT), a pet care company, announced its $37 million (Rs 277 crore) Series A round of funding on Thursday. Verlinvest and Sequoia Capital India led the investment round, with participation from Amitell Capital and existing investor, W&C PetTech.
The funds will be used to accelerate the company’s strategic expansion to newer markets, foster product innovation and expand its distribution across India.

on Thursday announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount in its seed round from angel investors spread across Silicon Valley, New Jersey, and India including senior global executives like Shailesh Powdwal, Sudhir Pai, Bhagirath Tanna and successful serial entrepreneur Sushant Divakar.According to an official statement, the funds will be used to expand its all green and 100 percent EV fleet’s footprint in Bengaluru& Delhi NCR. A part of this funding will go towards enhancing its AI engine - VIKI , it stated.
SaaS startup Everstage raises $1.7M in seed round led by 3one4 Capital (Funding)
Delaware and Chennai-based Everstage, a B2B software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup, has raised $1.7 million in seed funding led by 3one4 Capital.
The round also saw participation from several angels, including Prasanna Sankar, Co-founder of Rippling; Krish Subramanian and Rajaraman Santhanam, Co-founders of Chargebee; Sidharth Malik, CRO of Freshworks; Koti Reddy, CTO of Conga; Vetri Vellore, CEO of Ally.io; Utsav Somani, Partner at Angellist India; Ganesh Shankar, CEO of Rfpio, among others.
Tata Teleservices launches flexible networking solution for SMBs
Digital solutions provider Tata Teleservices on Wednesday announced the launch of SD-WAN iFLX - an intelligent and flexible networking solution built on the Fortinet Secure SD-WAN solution - to provide SMBs with a network to handle complex digital and cloud applications.
In a statement, the company claimed the solution offers high performance to integrate smart applications, provide operational simplicity, application-level prioritisation and visibility, integrated security, enhanced overall business application environment, and more.
