Paytm’s First Games Technology has a reason to relax. 

The Supreme Court of India has put a hold on proceedings related to a tax notice from the Directorate General of GST Intelligence against Paytm’s gaming firm. 

The notice had claimed a tax liability of Rs 5,712 crore, plus interest and penalties, for the period between January 2018 and March 2023.

In a world of power suits and voluminous gowns, a saree always steals the show. During the launch of Suta’s second store in Bengaluru, entrepreneurs and sisters Sujata and Taniya Biswas draped the saree like they mean business. 

“One of our strategies is to make the brand look and feel like how we are—a small, homegrown and achievable brand… We don’t have models or drape artists. We drape it (a saree) ourselves and on the go, just how it should be,” the Suta sisters tell YS Life during an exclusive conversation. 

Crafted with love:

• Founded in 2016 with an investment of Rs 6 lakh, and a single store in Mumbai, Suta has churned Rs 75 crore in FY24-25—a 1200%-plus growth, selling handwoven sarees across its website, ecommerce platforms, and 15 stores.
• Continuing to be bootstrapped, the brand works with a massive network of 17,000-plus artisans and weavers, and does not intend to stop anytime soon. “Our plan for 2025 is to aggressively grow our offline presence, and open 10 more stores,” says Co-founder Sujata. 
• Right from the very first day, the sisters have focused on connecting with their existing and potential customers through the power of storytelling. Each Suta product has a unique name and a fictional background story or description attached to it.

Café Swasthya’s Ayurveda-inspired meals

Amid the growing crop of cafés in Gurugram, a new concept has caught consumer attention for its wellness-meets-comfort philosophy. Café Swasthya by Butterfly Ayurveda, a brand led by entrepreneur Akshi Khandelwal, offers an Ayurveda-inspired menu with wholesome meals, herbal teas, wellness coffee, and bakery products. 

“We haven’t set up a café to experiment. Our goal is to offer food that’s good for you. Your stomach must feel good. When we look around, there are so many domestic and international chains that may offer things that may not work for the body,” Khandelwal tells YS Life. 

Clean eating:

• At Café Swasthya, every dish is tailored to an individual’s Ayurvedic constitutional type—vata, pitta, and kapha—to ensure it suits their body. This is the tridosha philosophy, which defines the three fundamental energies or principles governing our body functions at an emotional and physical level.
• For instance, Café Swasthya offers khichdi in three versions: medium spicy for vata, mildly spiced for pitta, and spicy for kapha. 
• For a café, the absence of the popular hot beverage, cappuccino, on the menu may surprise many, but Khandelwal considers it ‘bad’ for the body. Instead, it has speciality filter coffee and other hot beverages such as turmeric latte, turmeric latte with pepper, jaggery latte, and cinnamon spiced cocoa.

• New chips: Nvidia will soon launch a new AI chipset for China at a significantly lower price than its recently restricted H20 model. It plans to start mass production as early as June. The GPU will be part of Nvidia’s latest generation Blackwell-architecture AI processors and is expected to be priced between $6,500 and $8,000, well below the $10,000-$12,000 the H20 sold for.
• Tariffs: President Donald Trump said he is “recommending a straight 50% tariff on the European Union” after complaining that trade negotiations have stalled. The steep new import duties would start June 1, Trump wrote on Truth Social.
• Breach: Recruitment website Naukri.com has fixed a bug that exposed the email addresses of recruiters using its platform to search and hire talent online. The issue, discovered by security researcher Lohith Gowda, affected the API that Naukri used on its Android and iOS apps.
