Veranda Learning, SNVA EduTech stitch together cross-border learning play
Partnership blends Veranda’s local brands with SNVA’s global reach, as the firm enters its next growth phase and eyes a future listing.
Chennai-based edtech firm Veranda Learning said on Friday that it will transfer its entire vocational segment to SNVA EduTech, a Noida-headquartered education and training company, in exchange for shares. The move will give Veranda and its subsidiary a combined 50% stake in the enlarged SNVA EduTech Limited.
The assets to be transferred include Brain4ce Education Solutions, also known as Edureka, Veranda Management Learning Solutions, referred to as Veranda Higher Ed, and Six Phrase Edutech.
The announcement follows Veranda’s recent decision to divest its vocational training division and comes about a month after it revealed plans to do the same for its commerce education arm.
These moves are part of a broader strategy to separate its four verticals, including commerce education, vocational training, K-12, and government test prep, and list each of them as independent companies on the stock exchanges, Suresh Kalpathi, Executive Director and Chairman of Veranda Learning, had told YourStory in a recent conversation.
Kalpathi has described the shift from what he called Veranda 1.0, a phase focused on building the group through acquisitions and expanding both offline and online, to Veranda 2.0, which he said is aimed at improving performance and delivering clearer value to investors.
Veranda had shared its intent to partner with Indian organisations that have strong links to global universities, to extend its reach and scale in higher education and skills training. The transaction with SNVA brings Veranda’s domestic operations together with SNVA’s international network in the USA, the UK, France, Italy, Malta, Switzerland and Singapore to form a single education platform.
SNVA EduTech was founded in 2009 and operates several education brands, including Careerera and Euro American Education. The company says it serves learners in more than 60 countries and has trained about 1.5 million people.
The combined group plans to offer degree programmes, professional certifications and skilling courses across management, technology, data science, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, among other areas.
“This partnership with SNVA combines Veranda’s strong domestic brands and university partnerships with SNVA’s global university network and enterprise reach. Together, we are building a platform that offers seamless learner pathways and accelerates growth opportunities worldwide,” Kalpathi said.
Vivek K. Singh, Founder and Managing Director of SNVA EduTech, said the tie-up will help build a global education ecosystem and enable the organisations to scale and innovate.
Veranda and SNVA expect the new entity to reach more than 200,000 learners a year. The companies provided financial projections that put revenue above Rs 250 crore in the financial year 2026 and forecast compound annual growth of about 25% over the following four to five years. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation or EBITDA is projected to exceed Rs 60 crore in FY26, with a CAGR of about 35% over the same period.
The duo said the entity will consider a public listing at an appropriate time.
Founded in 2018 by the Kalpathi AGS Group, Veranda Learning is a publicly listed education company that offers a range of programmes for competitive exam preparation as well as professional skilling and upskilling.
Earlier this month, the Chennai-based edtech company received approval from its Board of Directors to formally demerge its commerce division. The newly formed entity has been named J.K. Shah Commerce Education Limited and will serve as the platform for all future operations of the commerce vertical. It will consolidate Veranda’s commerce education brands, offering test preparation for CA, CS, CMA, and ACCA aspirants across India and overseas.
