Deeptech in focus during PM Modi’s France visit; TCS joins hands with Anthropic
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s France visit will coincide with Bharat Innovates 2026 in Nice, bringing together 120 Indian deeptech startups, universities, investors, and policymakers to explore partnerships and global growth opportunities.
Hello,
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France next week will coincide with Bharat Innovates 2026, a deeptech event in Nice, France, that will bring together 120 Indian startups, investors, researchers, and policymakers. The event, part of the India-France Year of Innovation, aims to connect Indian innovation with global markets, capital, and research partnerships.
More than a startup showcase, Bharat Innovates is designed to help commercialise research and strengthen India-Europe collaboration in areas such as AI, semiconductors, biotech, space, climate tech, and advanced manufacturing.
Meanwhile, IT services giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a global partnership with AI company Anthropic to accelerate enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence.
As part of the collaboration, TCS will create a dedicated business unit to develop industry-specific AI solutions and build expertise around Anthropic’s Claude family of AI models, benefiting from early access to the technology. The company will also roll out Claude to 50,000 employees across engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales under an enterprise-wide licensing agreement.
In other news, the long-awaited IPO of SpaceX could create thousands of new millionaires and several billionaires, driving demand for luxury homes and other high-end purchases.
Real estate agents in California and Texas say SpaceX employees are already exploring upscale property purchases. Demand is expected to rise in affluent communities near the company’s hubs, as well as popular vacation-home destinations, with brokers anticipating a boost to the luxury housing market.

- Sumi Vivek on building a career in tech and AI
Here’s your trivia for today: Which is the only country to have qualified for every single FIFA World Cup tournament?
In-Focus
Tsenta helps job seekers apply faster

Founded by Agnay Srivastava and Pulkit Gupta, Tsenta is an AI-powered platform that automates much of the job application process while keeping resumes and cover letters personalised. The startup recently raised $500,000 from Y Combinator and is focused on making job hunting faster, more affordable, and less repetitive for candidates.
Key takeaways:
- Tsenta automates resume tailoring, cover letter generation, and application submissions, enabling users to apply to multiple jobs in minutes instead of spending hours on repetitive tasks.
- As employers become more adept at spotting AI-generated applications, Tsenta focuses on adapting resumes without changing a candidate's authentic experience, skills, or voice.
- The startup has crossed 9,000 customers, says user growth is doubling month-on-month, and plans to use its recent funding to scale the product and expand support for Indian employers and hiring platforms.
Women in Tech
Sumi Vivek on building a career in tech and AI

From a small steel township in Chhattisgarh to leading technology transformation at global organisations, Sumi Vivek has built a 28-year career at the intersection of business, technology, and impact. Currently Senior Vice President, Information Technology at Curriculum Associates, she has held leadership roles across PwC, IBM, Diageo, and Tata Electronics, while championing women in technology and large-scale digital transformation.
Key takeaways:
- Sumi built her career by taking on difficult assignments and unfamiliar roles. From IBM to Diageo and Tata Electronics, she viewed every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow.
- Sumi believes the "missing middle" problem cannot be solved by policies alone. Organisations need flexible career tracks, strong maternity and paternity support, mentors and sponsors, and conversations about career continuity before major life events force women to make difficult choices.
- Having worked on AI initiatives across industries, Sumi sees artificial intelligence as a force that will fundamentally reshape how organisations operate. Her current focus at Curriculum Associates is building the technology and AI foundations needed to scale impact in education.

News & updates
- Technology: As OpenAI doubles down on enterprise AI, Google and Apple are expanding their consumer AI offerings. The contrast was on display this week as Apple unveiled new AI-powered Siri features, while OpenAI disclosed a confidential IPO filing backed by strong enterprise demand, particularly for AI coding tools.
- Opendoor: Opendoor is shutting down its India operations less than two years after entering the market, citing a shift toward US-based operations and smaller AI-native teams. The move has sparked debate over whether AI is beginning to reshape the economics of offshore work and outsourcing.
