The Func. Lab raises $1.5M in seed funding
Nutrition-focused wellness startup The Func. Lab has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from strategic investors including Nisaba Godrej, Anand Piramal, Abhishek Nayar, Bhakti Modi, Harsh Parekh and Sahil Vora. Luxury commerce startup The Capitalist Ventures has raised Rs 10 crore in a seed funding round from angel investors to strengthen its presence in India's premium lifestyle market. The company plans to use the capital to expand its luxury product portfolio, boost customer acquisition, strengthen branding initiatives and enhance operational infrastructure.
Founded in 2025 by Satyaram Nadimpalli, the company operates The Plug, a sneaker and streetwear platform, and The Capitalist Concierge, a luxury concierge service catering to high-net-worth individuals. The startup aims to build a comprehensive luxury access ecosystem and expand its footprint beyond India into global luxury hubs including Dubai, Milan and Spain as demand for authenticated premium products continues to rise.

Bengaluru-based edtech startup Lytmus AI has raised Rs 5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Boundless Ventures to strengthen its AI-powered learning platform for competitive exams. The startup will use the investment to enhance its AI capabilities, accelerate product development and expand student acquisition, initially focusing on NEET aspirants.
Founded in 2024 by IIT Bombay alumni Ajit Kumar and Praveen, Lytmus AI has developed AI mentors trained on the teaching methods of leading educators while maintaining personalised learning histories for each student. The platform identifies recurring mistakes, adapts explanations to individual learning styles and proactively recommends study paths, aiming to deliver a more customised and effective exam preparation experience.
Clairva raises $500,000 to build AI data infrastructure
AI data infrastructure startup Clairva Pte. Ltd. has raised $500,000 from Venture Catalysts' angel network to expand its licensed data platform for AI foundation models and robotics companies. The funding will help strengthen its licensed data supply network, deepen partnerships with content owners, enhance validation capabilities and expand commercial engagements globally.
Clairva is building structured, licensed datasets sourced from India, Southeast Asia and other Global South markets. The company has developed proprietary technology covering data ingestion, rights management, metadata generation, enrichment, quality validation and dataset packaging. Maruti Suzuki India has selected five startups — MiniMines, Easework AI, Sarvam AI, Siftly and CodeMate AI — under the fifth cohort of its Maruti Suzuki Incubation Programme (MSIP) to develop solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Conducted in partnership with IIM Bangalore's NSRCEL, the programme enables startups to co-create technology solutions addressing real-world business challenges.
Over the past seven years, Maruti Suzuki has screened around 7,400 startups, engaged with more than 250 ventures and onboarded 38 as business partners. INERA Crop Science and CropNXT Solutions have entered into a partnership to combine INERA's science-led biological agri-input portfolio with CropNXT's robust distribution and value-chain strength across key agricultural markets in India.
The partnership is projected to unlock a business potential of around ₹500 crore, reflecting the significant market opportunity for science-led biological agricultural solutions across India. Over the course of the partnership, INERA and CropNXT aim to reach more than 65 lakh farmers through a network of over 5,000 channel partners and retail outlets, while expanding the adoption of biological agri-inputs across approximately 20 lakh acres of cultivated land. The partnership is aimed at helping smallholder farmers become more profitable, climate-resilient and better equipped for the next phase of Indian agriculture.
EBG Group signs agreement with POSCO for Daewoo brand
EBG Group, a diversified business group, has signed a brand licensing agreement with South Korean giant POSCO International for the Daewoo brand in the major domestic appliances category. Building on its existing association with Daewoo, the agreement enables EBG Group to accelerate the brand's retail, distribution, and market expansion plans across India. The partnership covers categories accounting for nearly 70 per cent of the home & kitchen appliances segment. As part of its expansion roadmap, EBG Group has committed an investment of Rs 100 crore over next three years towards product development, retail expansion, distribution network strengthening, localization initiatives, and the introduction of new appliance categories tailored to the evolving needs of Indian consumers. To support this plan, the company is building a retail and distribution ecosystem. EBG Group aims to establish a network of approximately 100 stores across India by 2027.
