Flam raises $40M Series B led by QED Investors
AI content startup Flam has raised $40 million in a Series B round led by QED Investors, with Shah Rukh Khan, Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, and Venky Harinarayan joining alongside existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail.
Founded in 2021, Flam said it will use the funding to invest in R&D, product expansion, and enterprise sales.
Amazon Now hits $1B annualised sales amid rapid expansion
Amazon said its minutes-based delivery service Now has crossed $1 billion in annualised gross sales in India, expanding to more than 60 cities in under 10 weeks as it moves beyond metros. The company is targeting 100 cities by Diwali.

1312 Interactive raises $1M seed led by Chimera, TAC
1312 Interactive has raised $1 million in seed funding led by Chimera Venture Capital and TAC, with participation from Ventana, Rahul Reddy G, Rohan MC, and Nara Srinivas.
The company said the capital will be used to expand its indie game publishing across emerging markets and sharpen its focus on premium PC and console titles. It also plans to support partner developers with production, marketing, distribution and platform relationships.
Founded by Deepak Gurijala and Raviteja Mantena, 1312 Interactive publishes indie and AA games. The round follows a pre-seed that included Akshat Rathee and Gautam Virk, Rajat Ojha, Sridhar Muppidi, Tanay Tayal, the Founders of Playsimple, Vatsal Chintalpati and Rick Herman. The company is introducing 1312 Playground, a community-led player feedback initiative.

Avendus Wealth names Umang Papneja as Executive Vice Chairman and CEO
Avendus Wealth Management has appointed Umang Papneja as Executive Vice Chairman and CEO. Avendus said it will lead the wealth business through its next phase of growth and deepen its proposition for founders, corporates and family offices.
Papneja has over two decades of experience across private banking and wealth management. He was most recently CEO of Julius Baer India, where he led expansion of its onshore franchise, and earlier served more than a decade as Chief Investment Officer at IIFL Wealth, steering investment strategy across asset classes.
Flipkart creates 2.5 lakh festive jobs, expands delivery network
Flipkart said it has created more than 2.5 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities for the festive season, including gig roles. Nearly 75,000 of these, about 30 percent, are for first-time entrants. The opportunities span over 7,000 Ekart facilities including fulfilment centres, sortation hubs and last-mile operations.

The company added it has set up over 900 festive delivery hubs and nearly 1.4 lakh additional last-mile opportunities, with last-mile roles accounting for 60% of new jobs. Flipkart said participation of women now exceeds 20% across its supply chain, with increased inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Epigamia appoints Mansi Modi, Rahul Bhagat to leadership roles
Premium dairy brand Epigamia said it has appointed Mansi Modi to lead Marketing from the end of September and Rahul Bhagat to lead manufacturing. The company said it is eyeing an annualised revenue run rate of over Rs 1,000 crore in the next financial year and plans to double the business in 24 to 30 months.
Modi has over 14 years of experience across Hindustan Unilever, Oziva, Airtel and Britannia. Bhagat has held manufacturing roles at Danone, Britannia, ITC Foods and Tata Consumer. Epigamia said COO Ankur Goel will move on from the company for personal reasons.
BikeWo appoints Sumanth Badiga to Advisory Board for expansion
BikeWo Green Tech has appointed Sumanth Badiga to its Advisory Board as it expands across enterprise mobility and logistics. The company said Badiga will advise on commercial vehicle strategy, fleet development, OEM and industry partnerships, procurement and deployment, enterprise relationships and specialised logistics applications.
Badiga is Managing Director of Jasper Industries and Chairman of Adithya Automotive Applications. His career includes senior roles within the Tata ecosystem, with experience across commercial and passenger vehicles, distribution and after-sales operations. BikeWo said his expertise will support its last-mile, mid-mile and long-mile initiatives.
Novastar Partners backs AJVC in maiden investment to tap India’s pre-seed ecosystem
Novastar Partners, an India-focused private markets investment platform, has announced its maiden investment in A Junior VC (AJVC), an early-stage venture capital fund founded by Aviral Bhatnagar. The investment marks the beginning of Novastar’s broader strategy to build a diversified portfolio of high-quality funds and businesses across India’s private markets, with a focus on tech and tech-enabled businesses.
Novastar’s investment will support AJVC’s continued deployment across India’s pre-seed ecosystem as AJVC builds a platform for early-stage companies, while providing Novastar Partners with exposure to companies at the earliest stages across sectors including artificial intelligence, healthcare, deep tech, consumer technology, and brands.
Daksham Capital names Saurabh Mundhra as Co-founder, Head of West
Financial services firm Daksham Capital has appointed Saurabh Mundhra as Co-founder and Head of West, effective August 1, 2026. Mundhra brings more than two decades of experience across corporate banking, capital markets, strategic finance and advisory.
In his new role, Mundhra will lead the firm's advisory business in the western region, with a focus on working with promoters and entrepreneurs on growth, capital allocation and strategic financial decisions.
The appointment comes as Daksham expands its offerings across wealth advisory, private capital and strategic advisory. Its services include family office advisory, private banking, investment banking, asset management and structured solutions.
