She plays a pivotal role in driving the digital content platform’s vision of shaping its leadership in the fast-growing and dynamic OTT sector. She has remarkably leveraged her rich experience across OTT and broadcast media to build the brand, ALTBalaji at a global level. Currently heading global marketing operations, Direct Revenue and Analytics under ALTBalaji umbrella, Divya brings with her 20+ years of experience which consists of a mix of business, marketing and brand building across industries — Digital, OTT, Broadcast, Telecom, Music, and Retail. Before joining ALTBalaji, Divya was at ZEE5 where she conceptualized & developed the brand ‘ZEE5 ‘and ‘ZEE5 Originals’ as well as launched the platform and multiple original shows. Today as ALTBalaji marketing and direct revenue head, Divya looks after marketing budgets as well as recovery via direct subscription revenue. She is responsible for the overall growth of the platform, program scheduling, and analytics as well. Under the leadership of Divya, ALTBalaji has doubled the direct revenue YOY in the year - 2018-19 and 2019-2020. ALTBalaji has been one of the top 3 grossing OTT apps. From a content segmentation and a garnering subscription point of view, Divya looks at expanding, acquiring, and retaining audiences through various innovations. She has an impeccable record in launching brands in the sector of broadcast, telecom, music and OTT; rejuvenation of brands, consumer lifetime value journeys, creating revenue opportunities, product designing and designing sales currencies through consumer insights across her earlier stints. Prior to joining ALTBalaji, Divya was at ZEE5 where she conceptualized & developed the brand ‘ZEE5 ‘and ‘ZEE5 Originals’ as well as launched the platform and multiple original shows. AT Zee Group, she managed OZEE and Ditto marketing and subscriber base and was part of the leadership team that launched ZEE5 and stabilized the business. At Percept, she has grown the digital base 100% YOY and Onground attendance 125% growth YOY via various marketing and ticketing opportunities. At Tata Docomo, she was part of the core leadership team that conceptualized the product proposition “Pay per second” and launched the brand thereby in the first year itself achieving 3X targeted subscriber base. She has also worked with Barista, the retail coffee chain in her earlier years and created the term “The Barista generation” across the country as a slogan!
