Mr. Gurbinder Rattha - Co-Founder and Managing Director of Workafella – heads the coworking & shared office division of the Rattha Group of Companies, headquartered in Chennai.
His experience spans two decades in the dynamic industries of Corporate and Residential Real Estate, Hospitality, Healthcare, Textile Garments & Infrastructure. Gurbinder’s role across these verticals has been instrumental. He has executed a vision of forming strategic partnerships with reputed global organizations that, in turn, promoted businesses acceleration through growth and expansions.
His core belief lies in synchronizing energies with the right market leaders - the goal is to systematically push the boundaries in offering solution-oriented systems to progressive business communities.
In the real-estate vertical, he has played a pivotal role in establishing large-format IT parks in Chennai. The group also took over and strategically succeeded in building the largest residential project in an experimental area in Chennai, another demonstration of business excellence in unexplored terrains.
Having been successful in real estate, the group entered the hospitality sector in 2006, collaborating and bringing the largest Asian-owned international serviced residence owner-operator, The Ascott group, to the Indian market.
Another accolade to the group was the tactical management and operational success of the multi-speciality Global Hospitals (present-day Gleneagles Global Hospitals), increasing the revenue bottom-line and bringing it to a profitable venture.
He has also helped strategically bring in large format clientele in the Textile Garment sector, ensuring an end-to-end production-to-market cycle and establishing a strong presence globally.
His prowess and demonstrated accomplishments in running profitable real estate and hospitality businesses led him to quickly identify & capitalize on an opportunity in the market in 2017 - coworking and shared office spaces, a sector that required a homegrown player that understood local business needs.
