Kunal Varma

Kunal Varma is the co-founder and CBO (Chief Business Officer) at MoneyTap, India’s 1st app-based credit line that provides quick, flexible, and hassle-free credit. He is a serial entrepreneur with more than nine years of experience in the startup world. Kunal has experience in all aspects of building an organisation and has been involved in product development, engineering, inbound marketing, sales and business development, customer service, operations and fundraising over the years. In his previous avatar, Kunal was the co-founder and CEO of Tapstart (formerly Skillwiz), a job discovery platform for consumers. Before exiting Tapstart in 2015, he helped the organisation touch the lives of more than 300,000 consumers in less than two years. Prior to Tapstart, Kunal bootstrapped and started Aspirare, a services business in learning and assessments space, which eventually moulded into Tapstart. His other ventures offered marketing services for SMEs and were profitable organisations with positive cash flows. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Kunal spent more than seven years in the field of technology and R&D, building next-gen semiconductor products for wireless and handheld devices. He has worked in engineering management positions at Texas Instruments. An MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the prestigious ISB (Indian School of Business), Hyderabad, Kunal is also a computer science engineer from IIT Roorkee. He is a restless soul, a fitness buff and a foodie.
