Dr Prem Das Maheshwari

Dr Prem Das Maheshwari is the Business Director for South Asia at D2L Asia. Aged 51, he has attained over 29 years of rich experience in various aspects of business development & channel management in both the international and national higher education spaces. Having worked in the capacity of Managing Director, Director and Vice President with leading U.S./Europe and Asia based international education groups and multi-national companies, Dr Prem has a proven glorious career in the Education domain. In recent years, Dr Prem has developed a passion in the online learning arena and is determined to support and influence the adoption of digital technology in the K-12 and Higher Education in India especially given its limitless potential and nurturing of brilliant IT professionals to the world. He aims to help Indian schools and institutions make informed decisions based on the critical benefits of moving to a robust learning management platform to expedite the adoption of digital technology to transform to new and evolved pedagogies. Dr Prem has been meeting the key stakeholders, Principals, Vice Chancellors, Registrars, officials in the Indian government and associations to mobilise their opinions in terms of transforming the entire education landscape of the country and be able to churn out the most enlightened youngsters who will work towards shaping the future of the Indian nation. He has been actively demonstrating the nuances, features and functionalities of Brightspace LMS platform by D2L. As an active speaker at many B-Schools in India and associated with many higher education and K-12 institutions throughout South Asia, Dr Prem was also conferred the degree of Honorary Doctorate of Advance Studies (Honoris Causa) by Azteca University Mexico in recognition of his contribution to Education industry in India. He is an author of two books and is the Charter President of Rotary Club of Delhi Legacy District 3012.
