CS Shubham Katyal is an Associate Member of the Institute of Companies Secretaries of India and a commerce graduate having good experience in secretarial and legal matters. He is a Speaker and a Visiting Faculty Member at the Institute of Companies Secretaries of India and a Former Committee member of Young Member Empowerment & Placement Committee NIRC-ICSI(2019-20).
Presently, he is working with Caparo Maruti Limited, a joint venture with India's largest car manufacturer- Maruti Suzuki India Limited, as a Compliance Officer. He has expertise in conducting Members/Board/Committee meetings, executing and advising on corporate transactions and ensuring corporate law compliances in the areas of Compliance Management, Corporate Restructuring Commercial Contracting and Agreements, SEBI and Capital Market matters, Audits, & Due-diligence including legal documentation, policy making and assisting the team in carrying out their routine secretarial functions.
Before starting his journey with Caparo Maruti Limited, he has worked as an associate with the Legal and Secretarial teams of Muds Management India Limited and has worked as a legal consultant to blue chip groups of the revolutionary industry in India such as KPMG, INNOV8, Mckinsey Fortis, Faircent, Hines, Landmark etc.
He possesses professional experience of more than 3 years in handling Secretarial and Legal Compliance management. He comes in with an ability to transform the Corporate Secretarial function into a value creation group by working in collaboration with strategic stakeholders & cross function partners to generate business results. He is proficient and meticulous in carrying out legal & secretarial documentation with great control, which is of prime essence to function. He possesses skills for leading people towards accomplishment of common goals coupled with a strong dedication to act as a trouble shooter in situations of crisis.
He is also a Google Certified Professional in Fundamentals of Digital Marketing.
He holds specialization in handling matters related to Corporate laws, SEBI, FEMA (ODI, RBI intimations, FCTRS, Form ESOP and FCGPR), Change of RTA, Annual Report, Merger & Acquisitions, Buyback, Insider Trading Compliances and stock exchange compliances. He is also extensively involved in handling compliance of the Secretarial area, GST, IPR, FSSAI, NCLT, RBI, Labour Laws and Taxation.
In the year 2019, CS Shubham Katyal was selected as the Member of the Functional Committee of Northern Indian Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India for a term of 1 (one) year (2019-20). From the time he was a student he has been actively involved in the activities of the Institute and has worked consistently in close association with senior Regional and Central council members. He has authored numerous articles on complex subjects which have been featured on various professional forums and newsletter of different chapters of ICSI.
Apart from working for the Institute, he has also been participating and contributing in Social Welfare Activities on regular basis to support the underprivileged section of the society.
