It helped brands manage paid and earned media on social sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+. The company enabled marketers to analyse content and move it between paid and earned platforms. In 2012, Salesforce acquired Buddy Media for $ 745 million. Buddy Media has raised about $90 million in venture capital from SoftBank Capital, Greycroft Partners, Institutional Venture Partners, Insight Venture Partners and GGV Capital.
