Cooked-at-home is a platform to bring together home chefs (Pakaos) and home food lovers (Khaos). Home cooked food, by definition, is not amenable to mass production and so quite unorganised at the moment, compared to the food production and packaging industry. To maintain the freshness factor and for customisation, exchanges between Khaos and Pakaos are necessary. Popularity of work-from-home is increasing, and people are looking for avenues to earn money from home. Growing awareness about healthy eating is giving home cooked food a fillip. High transient populations in metros makes for a large market of people missing cuisines of their origin/ home town. Palates are growing more adventurous and people want to try different but authentic cuisines. Entertaining at home with exotic cuisines is on the rise too. Variety in cuisines is being actively sought. Huge untapped pool of talented and willing home chefs, but no way for them to be found. However, at present, the platform has no arrangement for delivery services between transacting Khaos and Pakaos. Home chefs and their customers have to mutually decide on pick-up or delivery.
