The journey of Naara Aaba began in 2017 when the idea of preserving organically harvested kiwis in the region was conceptualized in the form of wine-making. Arunachal Pradesh has a rich environment where exotic fruits like kiwis, pears, peaches & plums grow in abundance. But earlier, the harvested fruits weren’t marketed well enough which led the fruits to decay in waste. Founder, Tage Rita had a vision to revive the local farming community by sourcing their harvest to make wines out of them, while preserving the nutritional values of the exotic fruits. This is how India’s first organic kiwi wine, Naara Aaba was launched. Gradually, by combining the tradition of wine-making with advanced & sustainable technology, the Naara Aaba winery located at Hong Village in Ziro Valley churned out delicious kiwi wines that travelled to new markets and is now currently available in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
