Basic Information
Founded in 2017, by Ren Menon, Nichole Garcia, and Henry Chan, OrthoFX specialises in premium tech-enabled teeth aligners, a less known, but a smart alternative for braces to correct malocclusion (crooked teeth). They have three treatment options i.e. ‘Smile Preview’ which is for free, ‘Try It’ is for $95 and ‘Full Treatment’ comes at a price of $2950 or $85/month. In July 2020, OrthoFX raised $13 million led by SignalFire, in association with Unusual Ventures by Jyoti Bansal (founder of AppDynamics), ShangBay Capital, and Kairos Ventures. The San Francisco based company is planning to set up a development centre in Kochi Infopark in Kerala. The focus is on full-stack product development, global approach to healthcare product management and advanced intelligence functions. The company expects to be a 100+ member team by the year 2021 by leveraging the local talent pool of Kochi.
