The Summer House is on a mission to bridge the gap between modern wardrobes and old fashioned craftsmanship through statement garments that can be worn effortlessly, every day. Their biggest passion is working with rural artisans to sustain traditional craft techniques and textiles. By collaborating directly with them or partnering with vetted local NGOs that provide assistance to them they help vulnerable craft communities move away from exploitative practices. Thus far, they have an ongoing partnership with 17 craft clusters across India that enables them to design original textiles and handmade garments. They work with high quality, responsibly made fabrics - with a preference for handwoven, organic and modern explorations like econyl and ethical tencel. All their garments are made in an in-house studio with a sharp focus on quality and intentional design. Dresses, tops & jackets, pants, skirts, co-ord sets are some of their offerings.
