OnSolve opens tech centre in Bengaluru
OnSolve, an AI-led enterprise software company, has opened a new technology office in Bengaluru. The new office will create more than 100 engineering jobs across core product operations teams, including AI and machine learning development, database management, technical support, and security operations.
“Expanding our tech presence to India underscores our dedication to innovation and commitment to solving the most complex issues for our customers,” said Mark Herrington, CEO of OnSolve.
According to the company, it selected Bengaluru for OnSolve's innovation centre because of its vibrant technology ecosystem and skilled talent pool. It aims to tap into the region's resources and local expertise to strengthen the OnSolve platform and its competitive position in the market.
Perfios unveils new brand identity
, a B2B SaaS tech-fin company, has unveiled a new brand identity, Lead/Leap. The company said the decision for the change is fuelled by the company's global expansion plans in the US, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and African markets.
The new brand positioning Lead/Leap conveys Perfios’ transition into a global tech platform, now catering to the end-to-end customer lifecycle, including onboarding, decisioning, and underwriting for all financial institutions, and taking a leap with new futuristic tech bets.
The company said it has been recording 100% year-on-year growth for the last five years and is targeting $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of FY24. The company also seeks to double the contribution of its international business within the next 12 months.
SAP Labs India holds community event SAP Inside Track
SAP Labs India recently hosted the Bengaluru edition of the SAP Inside Track (SIT)–a local grassroots community event where SAP Community members come together to share knowledge about SAP-related topics.
Besides nearly 1,400 community members, the event also saw customers, partners, and freelancers participating in the event. Some of SAP’s key customers and partners across sectors like automobile, manufacturing, retail, and IT were also present at the event.

IBM unveils COBOL to Java translation GenAI solution
IBM has unveiled a new generative AI-assisted product Watsonx Code Assistant for Z, that enables faster translation of COBOL to Java on IBM Z, a mainframe server and enhances developer productivity on the platform.
This product will be available in the fourth quarter of 2023 and is designed to help accelerate COBOL application modernisation.
The COBOL data processing language supports many vital business and operational processes at organisations globally. Watsonx Code Assistant for Z is designed to assist businesses in leveraging generative AI and automated tooling to accelerate their mainframe application modernisation–all with the goal of preserving the performance, security, and resiliency capabilities of IBM Z.
Wipro appoints Brijesh Singh as Head of AI
Wipro has appointed Brijesh Singh as Senior Vice President and Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Head for Wipro Enterprise Futuring.
Singh has over 30 years of experience in the technology consulting space and was previously a senior partner at Deloitte, where he was responsible for driving AI and data-led transformation. His appointment follows Wipro’s $1 billion investment in AI and the launch of Wipro ai360.
As the global head of AI, he will be focused on advancing Wipro’s ai360 strategy, building capabilities to support and accelerate AI adoption across Wipro’s entire portfolio, and delivering AI-first solutions to clients.
Indium Software gets into Inc 5000 list
, a US-headquartered digital engineering company founded by Vijay Balaji and Ram Sukumar, has made its debut in the Inc 5000 list for 2023–the annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in the US.
Indium has been featured in the list for its growth of 229% over the past three years. The Inc 5000 class of 2023 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. This year's Inc 5000 companies have added 1,187,266 jobs to the economy over the past three years.
