Marvel Magic
Maybe an unlikely superhero to some, but the first one from the Marvel universe, Captain Marvel, is here to stay. And the film certainly lives up to the hype. She is bad ass, redefining and rewriting the rules. So who is Captain Marvel? She is Vers (Brie Larson) an extraterrestrial warrior of a humanoid race called Kree and part of elite squad Starforce, led by Commander Yon-Rogg. The Krees have forever been in confrontation with their enemies - shape-shifting aliens, the Skruls. Vers gets flashes of memories from the past of living on Earth and life as US Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. What are the secrets of the past? How will it affect the present? How will Captain Marvel’s superpowers come into play? Watch the movie for the intricate storytelling, great scenes and of course, the Marvel magic.

A romcom tragedy
It’s the season of Netflix originals. If you are in the mood for a romcom this weekend, Isn’t it Romantic, streaming on Netflix, is perfect for you. Rebel Wilson plays Natalie, an Australian architect living in New York. There’s one thing Natalie hates, and that is romantic comedies. But then, what you hate comes right up against you, isn't it? One day, Natalie is mugged, and waking up from her coma, she finds herself in a romantic comedy in which she is, unfortunately, or fortunately, the leading lady. Her world suddenly turns topsy-turvy and she runs through the entire gamut of emotions and incidents that would have brought nightmares in a different world. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Liam Hemsworth, and Brandon Scott Jones, who play important parts in Natalie’s story, as she lives happily ever after, or does she?
