[HerStoryRecommends] Binge watch Game of Thrones as winter is coming and watch Priyanka Chopra's YouTube special - our top picks of the week
In HerStoryRecommends this week, catch up on the last seven seasons of Game of Thrones in anticipation and read best-selling author Reshma Saujani as she tells you to choose bravery over perfection.
Winter is coming
It's summer here, but winter's surely coming. Not an abomination this, we are simply talking of the last and final season of Game of Thrones that will hit the screens on April 14, and send the whole world into a frenzy. And with each episode rumoured to be two hours long, and what have you? A perfect weekend watch, if there was one.
Meanwhile, if you haven't watched the hugely popular series, or want to simply catch up, it's also the perfect time to binge watch all the earlier seven seasons to get the feel of what's going to come. Based on the bestselling book series by George R.R. Martin and created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the series follows nine noble families as they fight for control over the mythical lands of Westeros. As an ancient enemy returns, how will their lives change? In the two promos released by HBO, Survival as well as Aftermath there's nothing new that's not shown by the trailer, but we did see a possibility of Jon and Arya reuniting. Well, that's just a glimpse, and we can't wait for the show to begin. It's sure going to be a winter GoT fans are eagerly waiting for. Watch this space for more.

Bravery over perfection
We all strive for perfection, often not knowing what it is about. We want to look good, feel good and want validation for the same. We carry our guilt with us, not letting it go but allowing it to consume us and make us feel miserable. We also carry the weight of our own expectations while trying to please people all the time. In her new book, Brave, Not Perfect, best-selling Reshma Saujani tells women why they need to embrace perfection.
The book has been inspired by her popular TED Talk, where she gives us reasons why we behave the way we do in the quest for perfection. While always trying to play safe, we are constantly afraid of failure, and with it our chance at happiness. She exhorts us to choose bravery over perfection, so that our lives are enriched by different experiences that bring out the best in us. She lists the different ways in which we can let go of our "perfectionist" attitude and embrace bravery. A thoroughly enjoying read.

Candid Conversations
Our desi girl has been in the news, for all the right and wrong reasons. But this one is totally right! Priyanka's YouTube-funded inspirational special If I Could Tell You Just One Thing caught our attention for its informal way of getting to the subject without sermonising or undue adulation. This 30-minute special has Priyanka interviewing fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, YouTube rapper and actor Awkwafine and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles in easy-going conversations that also touches on some aspects of their lives.
While they tell the stories of their lives, they also tell Priyanka "just one thing" that could inspire her in her own life. The video is interspersed with scenes from her life in Los Angeles, walking her dog on the beach and a few glimpses of her home. A quick watch which you have you asking for more.
