Around 1.89 Crore Candidates to Appear in 2 month long RRB Group D Exam

February 2018 marked the largest recruitment in the history of Indian Recruitment. The recruitment is being conducted by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) on behalf of Indian Railways which is the largest mass recruiter of India, followed by TCS and Infosys. The recruitment drive is carried out by 21 divisions of RRB, established pan India. All the divisions of RRB are registered under Government of India and carries out the recruitment of eligible and qualified candidates for various posts and vacancies as announced by the Indian Railways.

As on 12th September 2018, RRB has released its Mock Test links for the candidates appearing in the Group D Examination. This recruitment drive organized by RRB has become the record-breaking employment drive which will be providing approximately one Lakh jobs to the successful applicants. Previously as compared by The Quint, number of applicant had risen as much as Australian population which approximates to 2.5 Crore application. RRB has already conducted ALP and Technician Examination. It has now scheduled the examination of Group D Recruitment drive.

The RRB Recruitment drive that was pronounced as a logistical challenge, by the recruitment authority themselves is already midway with partial events completed under the sleeves. The RRB ALP Recruitment examination was conducted in the month of August and the result is still awaited. The reliable sources at Indian Express mentions attendance of around 36 Lakh candidates out of 47 Lakh applicants. For a vacancy of 26,500; 36 Lakh candidates are competing against each other. Candidates who qualify the RRB ALP CBT Stage 1 Examination will be advanced to RRB ALP CBT Stage 2 Examination. 

In comparison to ALP Vacancies, RRB announced 62,907 vacancies specifically for Group D officers for various posts in throughout regions of Indian subcontinent. Approximately 1.89 Crores applicant have filled application for RRB Group D Examination. RRB has released RRB Group D Admit Card 2018 on 13th September 2018 on its official website of each region for all 1.89 Crore Candidates. Candidates can easily visit the website and download the RRB Admit Card. RRB Group D Examinations are being conducted on 17th September 2018. It is stipulated by RRB official notification that the exam will be conducted for the next two months till mid December. 

Looking at the large number of applicants, problems like lack of Exam Centers was a given. Indian Railways had provided during ALP Examination too, and is still providing Travel Passes to the Applicants whose Exam Centers have been confirmed in far out stations. Candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes will be provided a free TPA (Travel Pass Authorization) to travel to exam centers.

How to download RRB Admit Card 2018

RRB Admit card is the most important document for all the candidates appearing for RRB Group D examination. Candidates will be notified about the RRB exam centers, timing of the examination through Admit Card. Candidates must bring their admit cards to the examination hall.
