With a background in the e hospitality industry, Ankit has a sound idea of the impact of the pandemic on the travel and tourism industry, and the measures the industry has taken to bring back tourists/customers. He has shared insights on how the industry has now adapted to the new normal and is ready to welcome guests again. In his article, he suggests about six different places and experiences that people can consider as they gear up to enter into the holiday phase again. These places include Shimla, Kodaikanal, Coorg, Darjeeling, Lonavala and Mussoorie. At each of these holiday spots, he has further described the things to do and the places to visit within. “Devour some locally made cheese and chocolate and enjoy treks and hikes that take you into the surrounding Shola forest, for a one-of-a-kind experience. Kodaikanal is also home to unique flora and fauna. Kurinji flowers, native to this region, bloom only once in 12 years, leaving the entire town awash in hues of purple and blue. Who knows, you might be one of the lucky ones to visit Kodaikanal during the Kurinji flower season.”
