Broseph Foundation celebrates Bengaluru’s unsung heroes
The Broseph Foundation has launched its Summer Thankathon, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to recognising and celebrating Bengaluru’s frontline civic and emergency workers.
The Broseph Foundation has announced the commencement of its Summer Thankathon, an initiative that honours Bengaluru’s frontline civic and emergency workers. This city-wide campaign will recognise over 150 workers across 14 locations, with the support of more than 500 volunteers.
Founded by Dushyant Dubey, known as 'St. Broseph', the Broseph Foundation is a volunteer-led NGO headquartered in Bengaluru. With a network of over 13,000 volunteers across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai, the foundation focuses on providing practical, on-ground support to individuals facing various challenges, including legal issues, mental health concerns, and civic problems.
Highlights of the first leg of Summer Thankathon
The inaugural leg of the Summer Thankathon took place on June 7, 2025, with volunteers visiting key service hubs:
Yelahanka Fire Station: Firefighters were acknowledged for their unwavering commitment to public safety.
BWSSB Domlur: Water supply and sewage board staff were celebrated for their essential role in maintaining the city's infrastructure.
Kengeri BMTC Depot: BMTC employees were honored for their dedication to public transportation.
More than 30 individuals were honoured during these visits, with over 50 volunteers actively participating. They handed out tokens of appreciation, shared meals, and hosted community engagement activities designed to foster meaningful connections between citizens and frontline workers.
This Summer Thankathon builds on the momentum of previous efforts, such as the Winter Thankathon held by the South Bengaluru chapter of the St. Broseph Army in December 2024. During that campaign, volunteers celebrated government police constables, traffic police, BBMP Pourakarmikas, BESCOM staff, delivery personnel, and firefighters by treating them to lunch and a lively bowling session—a well-deserved break for those who serve tirelessly.
The Broseph Foundation’s work spans a range of community-focused initiatives, including legal aid, mental health support, civic grievance redressal, and grassroots action projects.
