The EdelGive Foundation and Hurun India have released the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025 that features the most generous givers in India’s philanthropic landscape.
Shiv Nadar & family have retained the top spot on the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025, with a significant donation of Rs 2,708 crore.
As the founder of HCL Technologies, Nadar increased his contributions by 26% compared to FY24, reinforcing his strong commitment to philanthropy.
Mukesh Ambani & family, Reliance Industries, made a notable philanthropic contribution of Rs 626 crore, securing the second position on the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025.
The Bajaj family has retained third place on the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025, making a notable donation of Rs 446 crore, reflecting a 27% increase from FY 2024.
Maintaining the fourth position on the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025, Kumar Mangalam Birla & family, 58, have donated Rs 440 crore.
Gautam Adani & family, 63, representing the Adani Group, have made a significant philanthropic contribution of Rs 386 crore, securing the fifth position on the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025.
Nandan Nilekani ranks sixth on the list 2025 with a donation of Rs 365 crore, reflecting a 19% increase from the previous year and demonstrating his strong commitment to philanthropy. Alongside his wife, Rohini, a prominent philanthropist, they began their charitable journey 30 years ago.
Hinduja family re-enters the top 10 of EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025, securing the seventh position with a notable donation of Rs 298 crore.
Rohini Nilekani ranks eighth among the top 10 philanthropists with a remarkable donation of Rs 204 Cr.
Sudhir Mehta and Samir Mehta, enter the top 10 of the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025, securing the ninth position with a notable donation of Rs 189 crore.
Cyrus S Poonawalla and Adar Poonawalla have re-entered the top ten of the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025 with a notable donation of Rs 173 crore.
This year’s EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025 features individuals who have donated Rs 5 crore or more during the period under review. This is the 12th annual ranking of the most generous individuals in India. Donations were measured by the value of their cash or cash equivalents from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
