Rapido

Founded in 2015 by Aravind Sanka, Pavan Guntupalli and Rishikesh SR, Rapido is an Indian bike taxi platform that acts as a liaison between users and bike riders who provide rides on demand.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, the company which started as theKarrier, is active across 100+ cities across the country.

The Rapido application allows users to book bike and auto rides. The app also has a feature that rewards the users with ‘Rapido Coins’ and these can be redeemed by users to save on future rides.

The application also allows users to schedule rides up to two days in advance.

Rapido also introduced Rapido Parcel which allows users to send or receive packages within the city. Power Pass is also a feature that the app provides which allows users to get passes for different rides with a validity of 30 days.

According to tracxn.com, the company’s major competitors are DOT and Bikxie.

In April 2023, for the first time, Chennai Metro Rail Limited collaborated with Rapido and launched women’s bike services with the aim to provide safe travels for women.

Some of the investors in the company include Pawan Munjal, Rajan Anandan, BAce Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Astarc Ventures, and Swiggy.
