Harsha Rathi, a student from Jaipur, saw her grandfather struggle with Alzheimer’s, which made her come up with an innovative solution to help these patients.


She developed a solution called Time Whisperer, which is a slow-made, easy to wear collection, tailored to provide care with the next generation textile that is smart and functional. It aims to improve the quality of life for the elderly using a wide range of clothing products for mobility support, medical help, hygiene, and monitoring health.

Lifeline 99 99

The Lifeline 99 99 team rehearses for its seven unique one-on-one interactive telephonic experiences.

London-based Gaurav Singh and Akshay Raheja are the co-directors of live interactive show Lifeline 99 99, presented by Kaivalya Plays in partnership with Exotel. 


Together, they were planning to create a virtual reality-based interactive theatrical experience amalgamating video with live performance. However, the pandemic upended their grand plan, paving the way for a telephonic performance instead.


In a candid chat with YS Weekender, the directors and performers shared their experiences and the challenges of working in a remotely assembled theatrical production.

Sixty-five-year-old Abdul Aziz Kozgar’s 100-year-old rosewater shop in Srinagar’s downtown area of Kashmir valley is seeing an uncertain future.


Kozgar, the last remaining rose water maker of Kashmir, has been safeguarding the family secret for a long time, but the craft of preparing rose syrups and perfumes, plus its production and demand, have declined over the years in Kashmir.


Amidst all, he is looking forward for someone to learn the craft and continue it after him.

Devina Dalmia, Founder and Creative Head of the luxury packaging brand, tells YSWeekender that the brand aims to redefine the process of unravelling a gift. Devina says her designs are largely inspired by her frequent travels around the world.
