Win Rs. 1,00,000!!! IIMK Backwaters & TiE present White Knight 2009

Backwaters 2009 in association with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) is proud to present the flagship event "WHITE KNIGHT", a socially relevant Business Plan competition open to all existing and budding entrepreneurs. It is a unique event that provides a huge platform for people to connect, share and get feedback from the very best in the industry.

White Knight is the flagship event that showcases the Entrepreneurial genius behind strategies and action plans that drive sustained inclusive growth. The event challenges the best minds from across the country to conceptualize and develop pragmatic, actionable solutions to socially relevant issues that enable lasting change. White Knight has been a huge success over the years and is one of the most awaited events of the year. For the last 2 years, the competition has been related to social issues like Inclusive Growth and Urban Development.

In our continuous effort to be bigger and better than before, we shift our focus to the vibrant field of Agriculture. India has seen a continuous high growth in this field in the last decade, but still there is a huge scope for improvement and there are many avenues that can be explored by young and motivated entrepreneurs. Backwaters 2009 and TiE come together and invite the enthusiasts who envision a better India in the very near future by strengthening our already strong roots, Agriculture.

White Knight 2009 is a 3-stage event with the first round being an online submission of executive summary of the proposed business plan. Submission deadline for first round is 2359hrs, 2-Jan-09. Top 7 teams will qualify for the next round, will be provided online mentorship by TiE executives and will be invited to campus on 17th January, 2009 for the second round. These teams will be mentored online by TiE representatives and would be submitting a 15-page report. On campus, they will have interactive session(s) with our faculty members. The Top 5 teams will qualify for the last round where they make presentations in front of the elite panel of judges consisting of senior executives from TiE. The winning team will get a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000!

Our technology partner http://www.studentbusinesses.com/ has provided a platform for participants to register for the event and submit their entries. Our media partner www.yourstory.in will be taking care of publicizing the event and featuring an article on the winning team.
