SYNOPSIS :  Started with a mere capital of Rs 500/- Cholaiyil Inherited the traditional wisdom of ayurvedic soap mftg from the palm leaf manuscripts which has helped the organization to grow 20 times in the last 10 years. The Rs 200 crore group banks heavily on a single brand - Medimix - in a market dominated by multinationals. Before 30 Years had a particular type of very popular skin oil made from about 18 herbs. It struck Pradeep's father Dr. V P Sidhan, an allopathic doctor, that the oil could be made into soap and that was how Medimix soap was born. The target audience set was only the Middle-Income Group.Cholaiyil is planning to focus on the food segment and promote the Cuticura brand in the future. From restructuring of existing brands and acquisition of new brands to aggressively targeting the exports market, is its mission.
