A lot of us wish that someone would do something about this and till date none had answered the call to arms…To this end a group of committed young people have recently come together to try and make a dent in the traffic problem. Calling themselves “the traffic people” they currently operate only in Delhi.
Young entrepreneur Shailesh Sinha gave us their story saying “In plain and simple words we are a team which is thinking on the lines of making Delhi a smooth traffic city, where there is no problem on the roads when it comes to using roads or simply put, we are determined to make our Delhi a true driving delight city. For that reason we have teamed up to collect information on what is happening in and around city roads, providing you with the information of the same and make commuters aware of where to go and where not to. By providing inputs through our interactive site and helping in what can be done best to avoid jams and disturbances on the road, we are also providing an open platform for all to come and participate in the cause. Traffic in Delhi is growing by the day, its up to us to come up with some innovative solutions to check this TRAFFIC EXPLOSION…..”
Shailesh passionately explains, “thetrafficpeople.net is a one stop website which will provide you with information on the traffic scenario of Delhi roads during peak hours and we’ll also forecast certain situations that might create traffic jams. Banking on this, we not only think, but are very confident that our efforts will bring in awareness amongst all of us about the traffic scenario and system while helping you avoid certain roads which are jammed or where traffic movement is slow. We have also worked on a small article (GYAAN) which everybody should read at least once and we guarantee you, if you’ll follow, the given simple rules, you’ll never face any problem while on roads.
We are also willing to appreciate your participation on the issues and for that we’ve created a Blog in which you can write your comments on the current traffic issues.”
They serve almost all the people who go out on roads and drive.
They are also the only company in India which provides traffic information and live updates about processions, traffic jams etc.
Shailesh explains his passion for traffic saying “I had an inclination towards traffic since childhood, infact had a keen traffic sense when I was a kid.”
The site is also noted for being able to provide traffic information to the major news channels and radio stations of India.
Shailesh Sinha, is at the helm of their operations. Described as being the most charged of the lot when it comes to Traffic Management, Shailesh was working with The Times Of India till March 2008. While moving and driving in and around the city, his driving experiences were really disturbing and annoying and then the thought came, that there are more things to do in life than just doing a White Collared or Blue Collared Job. The idea emerged in his mind and things started to take shape and The Traffic People was formed.
The group also wished to reach out to their public and states “We at the traffic people are all young guns, in which some have 4years of driving experience, some have 6 years in their pocket, some are fairly new and some are 10years veterans...But we are all really passionate about one thing and that is changing the traffic scenario of the city. We really need your support and association in this endeavor to make our city a true driving delight and system follower’s city.”

“Here our main aim is to provide Daily Traffic Newz Information of peak hours for you through our site, so that you are able to save yourself from chaos and also plan your journey accordingly.”
“We also invite your inputs in terms to build this site more informative and user friendly. A section is there “U Blog”, here you can write in comments and views on the subject we mention and also put in your grievances about Traffic, Roads and definitely Driving Behavior/Sense of People and what best can be done to improve that.”
