The company’s first brand, ‘St. Devil’, caters to the fashion conscious youth with its collection of voguish t-shirts and tops for men and women. It also provides furniture to stores for displaying the company’s products. This Ahmedabad-based enterprise has earned quite a reputation in the state, which is evident from the fact that it already has a presence in some 15 big retail stores across Gujarat, and that too in a very short period of time.
Now, Tanna aims to take the brand global and carve a niche in the international market. He is cognizant of the fact that an international presence would require the brand to come out clean on the parameters of quality, style, fit, fabric and colour; precisely why he and his dedicated team of skilled designers are striving to deliver their best and provide customers with quality products and services.
“We are presently more dominant in the Gujarat region, but plan to widen our network of distributors by next season to ensure that St. Devil reaches out to core national and international markets. From designing a garment to making a sample and finally going for large scale production, our business model encompasses a slew of processes before the product can be finally dispatched for retailing,” explained Tanna while talking about his company’s operations.
As for scaling up the business, Tanna has a clear laid plan. It is not unknown to him that the volatile fashion industry is fast changing and demands new designs, colours, styles and fit. “We aim to present our customers fashion at its best. This is because, once your customers start liking your products, half the battle is won,” said Tanna.
It wasn’t like becoming an entrepreneur was the only option Tanna had. Pioneering an independent venture was probably the only ambition of his life. Although he realised that completing the order on time while simultaneously maintaining the quality was a challenge he hadn’t prepared himself for, he knew his way out and met the challenge tactfully.
Some love speed, some danger. The risk business involves gives Tanna the high no job can, and it is this adrenaline rush that keeps him buckled on to his entrepreneurial venture. The biggest award this young entrepreneur has received is the customers’ appreciation for the brand. “It means a lot to me and keeps me motivated to strive for better performance.
