Faculty development programme on entrepreneurship

The Tiruchi Productivity Council (TPC) has joined hands with the Chennai-based ITCOT Consultancy Services – a joint venture of ICICI, IDO, IFCI, SIPCOT, TITC, SIDCO and Banks – to offer a two-week Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurship Development with sponsorship from the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), New Delhi, that functions under the Ministry of Science and Technology. The programme is scheduled between September 30 and October 13.
The first programme will be limited to 20 participants and teaching staff from engineering, polytechnic and science colleges involved in entrepreneurship development will be given preference. The last date for receiving the nominations is September 23.
The selection will be on first come first included basis. Boarding and lodging facilities will be provided for the selected outstation participants, TPC hon. secretary Raja Mutthirulandi said in a press release.
The programme coinciding with the silver jubilee year of TPC aims at equipping faculty members of engineering colleges, polytechnic colleges, science colleges and NGO representatives with skills, knowledge and competencies that are essential for effective initiation of entrepreneurship development activities. It will cover areas like entrepreneurial concepts; development methodologies and strategies; achievement motivation and training; project identification techniques; project feasibility analysis, and steps involved in starting small enterprises.
