Indian Industries Association and NSIC organized a seminar on "NSIC-Bank Credit Facilitation Scheme" at IIA Bhawan, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
The Chief Guest for the occasion Mr.J.N.Chamber, Export Commissioner & Principal Secy,SSI, at the outset asked the entrepreneurs to pose their queries which shall be noted down and taken up by him as soon as possible for necessary action. Reacting to the banks’ stance on discipline on the part of the MSME’s, Principal Secy, said that it is a two-way process and that banks should also re-examine their lending policy, they should question themselves whether their profit should remain within the bank or should be invested for the development of the nation.
Mr.J.N.Chamber addressing the MSME entrepreneur said “your hard work has contributed significantly to the industrial development in the state and we shall keep on progressing with your efforts.” He further said that the deptt of SSI is a facilitator for the industry and that entrepreneurs are welcome to approach him as and when required.
Shri A.K.Singh, Chief Manager, NSIC imparted information on various schemes of NSIC while Shri Darshan Vijayan of Onicra Credit Rating Agency of India Ltd informed on the Performance & Credit rating scheme.All the bank officials, however, stressed on ‘disciplined accounting’ on the part of the MSME’s before they apply for funds.
Shri Anil Gupta,President,IIA, in his welcome address informed the participants about his recent meet with the Hon’bl PM on 26th Aug and expressed hope for good times for MSME’s in near future as “it is not ordinary for PM to spare so much time for the MSME’s, he has met us thrice within one year,” he said.
Shri Gupta said that IIA is always in the quest of such activities/schemes that would boost the growth of MSME’s like Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana-handholding support for new entrepreneurs,Small Industry Information Service Centre-web enabled information desk on and for MSMEs and the newly initiated Entrepreneur Assistance Centre. Shri Gupta further said that the present seminar was another step in the direction facilitating entrepreneurship development as flow of credit is a vital and important issue for MSMEs.
Shri Pramod Miglani,General Secretary, IIA, presented the Vote of Thanks. Praising the efforts of NSIC, he said that the seminar will open new gate for smooth flow of credit to MSMEs. He thanked the speakers for their informative presentations and said that this will have positive impact on credit facilitation and development of MSME Sectors.
National Small Industry Corporation(NSIC) has signed MOU with a no. of Banks for smooth flow of credit to the Micro Small & Medium Enterprises(MSME’s). The objective of the seminar was to facilitate the access of MSMEs to the various credit schemes of these banks.
