Mumbai Angels invests in early stage healthcare solutions company Insta Health

Mumbai Angels, India's leading group of angel investors, has invested an undisclosed amount in Bangalore based Insta Health Solutions (IHS), a start-up company providing hospital IT solutions. The company had recently announced raising about $1 million from Inventus Capital Partners.
Apart from two former Wipro veterans, Mr Ramesh Emani, former President of Wipro (Telecom & Production Engineering Solutions) and Mr S. Muralikrishnan, earlier Vice-President at Wipro, the company was founded by Dr NK Venkataramana, well known Neuro Surgeon and Vice Chairman of BGS Global Hospital in Bangalore, Mr Vasan Subramanian, former Managing Director of Barracuda Networks India and Mr K.N. Venkata Raju, CEO of Bob Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Mr Emani said Insta Health is a Hospital management system and EMR solutions company. Their product Insta HMS, is an integrated hospital management software for hospitals. Insta HMS helps in automating the entire process of hospital administration. Insta HMS is provided both as a hosted application over the internet and also as a licensed version.
Mr Rajiv Dadlani, an active member of Mumbai Angels, has taken a Board seat in the company as an Observer, and will help the company strategize to grow value for all stakeholders.
Given the immense opportunities in healthcare domain in India, the investment is seen as a show of confidence in the sector from angel investors and VCs.
