The hunt for top leaders from Campus!
Freshersworld.com, the leading online recruitment portal for freshers (entry level graduates) is launching a new programme to identify leaders in colleges called the Campus Ambassador programme. The Campus Ambassadors will form the intercessors between the college and Freshersworld.com, also interacting with the Placement Coordinators for placement.
The programme starting Jan 2010 will be a drive to find the best talent in Campus who will become ambassadors, the last date for application being Feb 28th, 2010. The application form includes personal details, college information as well as a few questions to test prospective ambassadors. The questions are very generic and will test the drive and enthusiasm shown by applicants. A recommendation letter from a faculty member is also mandatory. The faculty member will be contacted to ensure that they entry is genuine and that there is no malpractice.Freshersworld.com CEO, Joby Joseph believes that students in colleges are still very ill equipped about their career search including creating resumes and preparing for tests. The Campus Ambassadors will interact with Freshersworld.com and ensure that all the students are well educated in this regard. For this reason, the Campus Ambassador will be trained to use resources that Freshersworld.com will provide. They will in turn help other students.
The selected Campus Ambassadors will also be held responsible for activities ranging from distribution of Freshersworld.com merchandise to coordinating campus placements. The Campus Ambassador will also have to come up with an idea for an event which Freshersworld.com will sponsor in every campus. In return, Campus Ambassadors will stand to win a lot of prizes and also participate in the zonal bash to be held in 4 cities. But the real winners (top 3 Campus ambassadors) will be sent on internship to Tel Aviv to work with Colnect, an award winning start-up based there. Colnect won the European start-up of the year award in 2009 and its found Amir Wald comments “We are very excited to partner with Freshersworld.com and happy to receive the top talent from India on internship at Tel Aviv.” Tel Aviv is home to various successful start-ups and is a centre for innovation.
