Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in India, with their growth oriented approach are exploring new markets and businesses. One of the major problems encountered by them is obtaining funds for new ventures as well as for growth, expansion and diversification of existing businesses. India is home to many entrepreneurs with brilliant innovative ideas and capabilities to produce goods & services of international standards. The lack of bank loans, equity funds & quality promoters stands between many entrepreneurs and their vision.

This training program will enhance the growth of entrepreneurship through a unique interactive program and will impart knowledge & skills to entrepreneurs to understand the concepts, procedures, documentation and other details in availing JV & PE funding. Topics will be covered under this program Introduction to private equity / venture vapital, increased optimism among SMEs for PE/VC funding, emerging markets and private equity – the Indian perspective, eligibility criteria for obtaining PE/VC funding, business valuation & business plan, the procedure & documentation for raising private equity capital, understanding due diligence and term sheets, selecting the right investor, minimising intensity of risk forSMEs, enhancing the growth ofSMEs and understanding exit routes of investors.

Participants will gain knowledge about how a venture firm operates, their criteria for investment, due diligence process, procedures and documentation and other intricacies of Venture capital and Private Equity funds. Program will be lively, interactive with a combination of presentations and case studies. Participants will get opportunity to interact and discuss with investors, fund managers, and financial and legal advisors. This is also a good platform for developing business networking contacts. This training program will give very useful information to entrepreneurs who are on the lookout for alternative source of funds like PE / VC by explaining to them, the documentation & procedures of obtaining these funds.
