Make Your Mark with a Tenner : Calling Student Entrepreneurs

Sunday February 21, 2010 , 2 min Read

Tenner's back with even more cash!

Make Your Mark with a Tenner (run by Enterprise UK), loans young people £10 and challenges them to make a profit and make a difference during March this year.

Students need to show enterprising spirit and make as much profit as possible in a way which benefits their community.

Whether you’re a teacher looking to register or find out more, or a student looking to get involved, you’re in the right place to get started!

If you have any questions about Make Your Mark with a Tenner please email the Tenner team: [email protected] or call 020 7430 8053

Make Your Mark is part of Enterprise UK, which gives people the confidence and ambition to be enterprising

Make Your Mark with a Tenner gives students the opportunity to take part in a well supported, real life, exciting enterprise activity which both compliments and enhances the existing enterprise curriculum.

This means everything students do as part of the Tenner month isn’t just for healthy competition and fun – it’s more than that.

The competition has demonstrated that it not only builds on enterprise capabilities but also improves students’ financial understanding and risk taking skills. What’s more, because this is all about social enterprise, students begin to learn about socially conscious ways to make money for good causes.

We also know that exposure to real enterprise activities gives students a taste of what running a real venture could be like and this alone can tip many young people into seriously thinking about more enterprising activities.
