Friday March 12, 2010 , 3 min Read

What do you have? Passion? A revolutionary idea? Incisive Opinions?

Then here’s for you, food for thought, fervor, expression and more. Gear up for an epic unveiling of India in its diverse forms at TEDx Pilani, this March 13th.

TEDx, a new community program created by the globally renowned TED, aims to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.

TED started as a small Non-Profit in 1984 with a conference to bring together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment and Design. What began as a four day conference in California 25 years ago has now grown into one of the world’s biggest platform for ideas that can change the world. From Bill Gates to Pranav Mistry, TED has showcased talents from all corners of the world. Along with the annual TED Conference in Long Beach, California, and the TEDGlobal conference in Oxford UK, TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Program, the new TEDx community program, this year's TEDIndia Conference and the annual TED Prize.

At TEDx events, suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances on a wide range of subjects, unique talks given by live speakers combine with TEDTalks videos foster learning, inspiration and wonder -- and spark deep conversations and connections.

Coming up: TEDx Pilani

A series of TEDx events are scheduled in various parts of the World, round the year. This March on the 13th, TEDx Pilani is being hosted by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership at BITS Pilani. The event has nine speakers from diverse fields sharing stories or ideas that have never been heard before. The talks have been orchestrated around the theme of the event – Unveiling India and the TED format of short yet impactful talks meant to inspire, inform and instigate change for a brighter India.

With a plethora of speakers, Professional video interludes (graphics support by CDS Solutions) and other surprises, TEDxPilani promises a paradigm shift to contemporary ideals from the clichéd viewpoint sporting our cultural enigma and age-old mythology.

The panel of speakers include veterans as well as young Entrepreneurs (watch out for the real man behind faking news, Rahul Roushan).
