Sherwin Rodrigues bags the title of Bayer National Scrabble Championship 2010 third time in a row

Mumbai, May 24, 2010: The Grand Finals of the Bayer National Scrabble Championship 2010 under the aegis of the Scrabble Association of India at Chembur Gymkhana, witnessed leading wordsmiths from across the country fighting it out for the top honours at this prestigious tournament. The winner of the Bayer National Scrabble Championship 2009 is Sherwin Rodrigues.

This year the ultimate brain-teasing word game championship reached out to a huge number of participants across India, with maximum participation from Mumbai followed by Pune and Goa. The youngest participant was 11 years old and oldest 65 years old at this championship. Professionals like Doctors, Lawyers, IAS officers, Chartered Accountants, Journalists, MBA students and housewives competed for the coveted title. The tournament was held in Mumbai on May 21, 22 and 23rd.
