Workshop on Technical Analysis - May 28 and 29, Bombay

Wednesday May 26, 2010 , 4 min Read

KenSource, an affiliate of Moneylife, brings you an intensive, focused training programme conducted by a vastly experienced and renowned expert in financial markets, Saumil Trivedi.

This two-day course will help you to:

  • Form a reasoned view, based on your own analysis of price movements for a timeframe of your choice.
  • Understand the importance of risk and how to manage it to earn higher returns.
  • Cultivate the discipline of avoiding risky speculation.
  • Avoid committing the most common blunder of buying at major tops and selling out at major bottoms.

Saumil Trivedi’s intense study and practical hands-on experience of markets has taught him that there is a method in the madness of stock price movements. He offers you the chance to learn these methods and apply them practically.

Learn from the Expert

Saumil Trivedi graduated as a chemical engineer from IIT (Mumbai) in 1971. He then completed his Masters in chemical engineering and management science from the University of Massachusetts in 1973. His entrepreneurial urge saw him starting and successfully running a perfumery and flavors business till 1989. Circumstances (a story worth listening to in his own words) engaged him in an intense study of stock price movements. In pursuit of the same, he has held very responsible positions in top companies like DSP Merrill Lynch. Among his bold calls:

  • He anticipated the imminent collapse of the market in 2001 and price bubbles in fancied stocks like Himachal Futuristic, Pentafour Software, DSQ and Silverline Industries, which eventually went back to the levels they started from.
  • His forecasts of the stock market boom from June 2003, which saw stock prices double in one year and then reach levels of 12,000 and 22,000, are remembered till date by many investors.
  • As recently as this last Budget, his emphatic view that the Nifty will find it difficult to cross the 5300-5400 range has held true till date.

Ask him how he does it and he replies: “My intense study and practical hands-on experience of markets has taught me that there is a method in the madness of stock price movements. One has to make the effort to learn these methods and also how to apply them practically.” It is this understanding that has motivated him to conduct courses that will help participants to manage their money profitably as well as manage the risks involved as per their risk appetite. Saumil strongly feels that a short basic program of two days will serve the purpose of making you a sensible trader and investor.

Saumil is a multifaceted personality. Apart from stock markets, he is actively interested in mountaineering, photography, Sufi music, poetry, singing, vedantic philosophy and astrology.
