CSED, VIT University brings an array of Workshops for young Innovators and Entrepreneurs

CSED has brought the combination of sustainable innovation, technology and entrepreneurship to an all new level. Started in 2009 it has supported and funded youth to run their projects that have a social impact with a mission to put technology and knowledge to work, to solve critical social issues.In light of ‘graVITas’, the university’s tech-fest, the Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Development [CSED] has put together three workshops. The objective of the workshops is to encourage and create awareness regarding social innovations and entrepreneurship.
The workshops would be conducted as follows:
1. “Innovations and Entrepreneurship for a Sustainable World” on 13th September by Mr. Charles Tsai, Global Youth Forum, Canada. (A change catalyst, Charles Tsai is dedicated to helping young people imagine and realize a better future for themselves and their communities. An internationally sought after speaker and trainer, Charles has mentored young changemakers through his work with Ashoka, the world’s largest incubator of youth-led ventures, as well as his own charity, Global Youth Fund)
2. “Designing for Social Impact” on 14th September by Mr. Selvan, The Institute for Financial Management and Research[IFMR], Chennai. (The workshop would include Introduction to the topic, case studies, and design thinking, framework, forming groups, group exercise and presentation by each group)
3. “Raising funds for your Social Enterprise” on 16th September by Mr. Pankaj Jain, Acumen Fund, Hyderabad. (This workshop will familiarize participants with the basic principles of legal aspects to be taken care in social entrepreneurship and basic tenets of raising capital (e.g. angel funding, venture capital, private equity etc.) for their entrepreneurial ventures)
All the workshops would be conducted in VIT University’s Vellore campus.
