Arohan Financial Service Ltd. received Srijan 2010 MFI Transparency Award in the Emerging Award Category and Ujjivan received the award in the Established Award Category at the fifth annual Srijan Financial Inclusion Forum hosted by Intellecap at Taj Land`s End in Mumbai.
The award recognizes the document and publicizes practices that ensure maximum transparency for all MFI stakeholders.

Ujjivan’s goal is to provide a holistic range of services to poor working women in urban and semi-urban areas to enable them to be free of poverty within five years. As on 31st August 2010, Ujjivan has disbursed over Rs. 14,265 Million to over 824,000 customers in 19 states across India and plans to expand nationally to serve 2,000,000 customers with 500 branches by 2012-13.

Constituted since 2006, the Srijan Awards have injected the Indian microfinance space with much needed entrepreneurial energy and innovation.
