National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises is organizing “Techmart India 2010”, the 17th International Technology Fair from November 14 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi coinciding with India International Trade Fair 2010. This annual event will be a centre stage for keeping abreast with latest technology development in the Indian Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Sector(MSME). The event will assist the Sector in marketing their products and services and also help large companies and buyers in identifying MSMEs which can become their ancillaries, partners in joint ventures and sub-contracting.
National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has been playing a vital role in the process of technology upgradation and assimilation. NSIC has been actively involved in facilitating MSMEs to acquire updated technology as well as to assimilate the same in manufacturing quality products. It is also facilitating MSME’s to acquire latest technology for competing with their product and technology with the foreign buyers and creating a platform for the competitors for buyers and sellers meet in the form of Exposition
NSIC organises Techmart India 2010 every year where its showcases the Technological Development achieved by Indian MSMEs, exposing them to domestic and international market. It is a perfect platform for those associated with the Micro, Small and Medium sector as also an ideal platform to network/establish new business contacts/ renew old contacts, discover new market opportunities. TechmartIndia 2010 is a significant landmark for the participants amongst the MSME units in India and abroad for providing new opportunities amongst the buyers and sellers from different countries participating in this exhibition.
The main objectives of Techmart India 2010 are:
To display the capabilities of Indian MSMEs and probable exports of their products and services.
·To present live demonstration of Technologies/Machines suitable for self employment and providing information in respect of them.
·To find out new marketing opportunities and technologies by arranging
the meetings with the potential customers & suppliers of India and abroad.
·To strengthen the relations between MSMEs and to establish networking by providing the information on sharing their experiences relating to industries. Exchange of views, best business practices and policies.
This year the focus is on “Display of low Cost Employment Generation Technologies” and NSIC is providing special enclosure where standalone Technologies for entrepreneurs will be on display such as Brick Making Machine, Soya Milk Production, Biscuit and Cookies Plant, Hand operated Press, Wire Nail Making Machine, Hydraulic Press and many more low cost technologies suitable for employment generation.
Earlier Techmart India 2009 also received a good response from Trade and Industry where 202 units displayed their products and technologies. Techmart India 2009 Pavilion was adjudged First for Excellence in Display in IITF-2009 by ITPO for the Public Sector Enterprises, EPCs and Commodity Boards Pavilions and NSIC was awarded the Gold Medal.
